The goings on of the people of Cranberry

Rick Perry and religion.

Well, guess I’m not voting for Rick Perry now. Because of the anti-gay bigotry and war on Christmas bullshit. And also because I don’t agree with him on a vast majorityof issues.  Not because he invoked religion in a similar fashion as Hitler did.  Politicians have done that since politics was invented.  I mean, people say bullshit like “Jesus was a liberal” like anyone should care.  If someone says “God wants you to vote like this,” the response shouldn’t be “No, God wants us to vote like this.”  It should be something along the lines of “I don’t think you should impose your religious beliefs on me” or better yet, “God is fictional.”

In any event, not voting for someone because they make pleas to people’s religious beliefs is pretty much equal to not voting for anyone ever.  Which is depressing, and it’s an indictment on politics and religion moreso than an indictment of Rick Perry’s specific conduct.  Rick Perry’s conduct can be addressed by not voting for him.  Good luck not voting for Jesus.
